Please just go there and install some mods to improve performance.Īlso, I ran this game on a X5470 + 1080 and performance was decent - but long load times due to CPU bottleneck. This discussion was created on/before LAUNCH DAY, most of the performance issues have been addressed on nexusmods. Page files allow them to run games they normally wouldn't, albeit a little bit slower than running with memory. I run old computers as a hobby and some of them you can only put a maximum of 8 GB/16 GB of memory into them. And don't change priority in task manager.Īs someone who has actually used a large page file to actually run games that wouldn't run without a large page file, I can honestly say that having a large page file on a FAST drive (preferably NVMe) is a great solution to having low memory. ![]() OP don't tell people to mess with the page file, it's not 1999. Or they are totally technically inept and don't notice /understand the issue. ![]() Problem is some people are muddying the topic BSIng that they don't have it. I tried all the possible workaround/fixes posted but I'm still getting this issue.ĭo you have this same issue, too? My specs are 5600X + 32GB + 3070Ti. ![]() I tried locking the FPS to 60fps, but it still happens albeit less frequently. Originally posted by Animus120:I don't really have problems with performance, but I do have issues with stuttering (the game goes from stable 90-110fps to 20fps for a few seconds and then back again to 90-110fps). This is probably the #1 cause for stuttering issues, due to the lack of I/O performance. The game uses Microsoft Direct Storage API, which will not work if you're not using an NVMe. Turn the settings up from here until you are happy.Īny questions? Any other advice? Comment below.ĮDIT: I should have posted this earlier, but if you have the game on a HDD, make sure to put it on a SSD, preferably a NVMe. This is your maximum possible frame rate. Set the game's settings to low and see what your frame rate is. Turn off Motion Blur, Depth of Field, Chromatic Aberration if you don't like them (less is more) Set Framerate to 60 in the settings (more is really unnecessary for a game like this) Make sure to turn V-Sync off if you have a G-Sync/Freesync display. Set Hogwarts Legacy to "High" priority in Task Manager. Most performance issues are usually driver related.ĥ. If you have 32 GB or more, ignore this step.Ĥ. If you have less than 32 GB of RAM, set a Pagefile so you will equal that amount. Make sure you have latest version of C++ģ. Here's some things to try (No particular order)Ģ. Seems a lot of people need help with this. ![]()
